Work
We are happy to provide samples of some of
our written work. While trial lawyers spend a considerable amount of
time talking, we need to be able to be persuasive in writing as well.
Here you will find a sample of a recent memorandum of law prepared by Mr.
Murray in a real case in New York. Soon, more written samples will be
available.

Gun in a Car
Presumption Stacking Memo
Mr. Murray currently (as of September, 2003) represents a person
accused of possessing a gun in a car along with all the other occupants of
the car. Mr. Murray's client was one of two passengers in the car in
question and the gun was recovered by the police, after considerable
searching, in a secret compartment in the car. The legal memo
presented here was Mr. Murray's written argument challenging the
Government's use of multiple "stacked" presumptions against his client in
order to obtain an indictment for certain charges. Please be advised
that all personally identifying information has been changed in order to
protect client confidentiality.
